In December 2024, we had the chance to spend a day outside Joint Reserve Base Fort Worth, Texas, home to Navy, Air Force, Marines, Army reserve units and the famous Lockheed Martin production plant home of the F-35A/B/C variants. Throughout the day, the sun moves behind you, so the morning photos are not so great, but the photography becomes much better in the afternoon. The goal of the day outside the base was to photograph as many variants of F-35 Lightning IIs as possible. 14 different aircraft were seen, A, B and C variants, It was a shame that most of the flying was in the morning when photography was "back lit".

Below are just a very small selection of the 20+ types of aircraft variants seen flying throughout the whole day outside the base. This is one base you must always be ready with your camera.
